CIW continuous retaining wall
CIW_Features/Advantages of Overlap Drilling
- CIW The construction method was developed as “ply casing pile” to
apply continuous wall construction.
- In the perforation structure, the soil inside the casing is perforated
with Auger & Hammering.
- The casing is mounted on the auger and the auger is driven by two
independent motors.
- By extending the auger or air hammer mechanism, it is possible to
drill deeper than the length of the incoming casing.
- The pile is filled with concrete through the screw rod mounted on
the auger while the drilling device is being recovered, and starting
with the primary drilling at intervals, the secondary drilling is
performed to ensure proper overlapping construction.
- The inside of the completed pile is filled with stress reinforcing
materials such as unreinforced or H-beams and reinforcing bars, and
construction can be performed in a different order according to site
conditions or an agreement with the contractor.
